Health & Safety is of paramount importance to us in all aspects of our work.  We possess full Public and Employers’ Liability Insurance and all our staff are thoroughly trained in current Health & Safety regulations and procedures.

In order to keep abreast of changes in Health & Safety policies, all our operatives regularly attend refresher training courses and we frequently review our Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.  Below, for your convenience, are copies of our current policies:

Health & Safety Policy:

The policy of Stafford Property Services is to achieve and maintain conditions of works which are sage and healthy for all employees, so far as reasonably practicable.  The Company’s activities will be conducted with appropriate safeguards against exposing employees or other persons to risk to their health and safety.

To this end, Stafford Property Services accept an obligation to actively seek a reduction in the incidence of accidents, dangerous occurrences and hazards to safety or health and comply with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to make adequate financial provision to meet such requirements to promote safe working practices by the following:

1. Making the working environment safe and without risk to health

2. Realistically combating such hazards as cannot be completely eliminated by making available such protective clothing, equipment or devices as are required to protect against those hazards

3. Arranging regular inspections of plant, machinery, workplace and processes by competent persons

4. Providing such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to achieve safe working practices, thereby ensuring the safety and health of all employees.  To bring to the notice of those who supervise their special responsibility for safe working

5. Seeking the active involvement of all employees in the Company’s efforts to promote health and safety at work by encouraging the establishment of local safety at committee / meetings where appropriate

6. Always considering actual and potential risks to persons not in the Company’s employment, but who may be affected by its operations, with the same care and attention as is given to the Company’s own employees

7. Supplementing the statement of safety policy with rules and procedures in the form of Company Policies, to cover safe working practices throughout the Company’s operation

8. Regularly reviewing Company policies, operating procedures and instructions and revising as appropriate in accordance with knowledge and changing circumstances.

Environmental Policy:

Stafford Property Services is a Property Maintenance Company that, through the adoption of a responsible and proactive attitude to environmental issues, is committed to minimising potentially harmful effects on the environment.

Stafford Property Services is committed, both by training and by communication, to developing a culture in which the protection of the environment is an objective shared by both our clients and our directly employed workforce, contractors and suppliers.
